BDC Manager

Pay: Total compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 Annually

Job Description:

Our brand-new state-of-the-art dealership in Long Island City, NY is currently seeking to add an experienced BDC Manager to join our sales department! As part of our management team, you will be directly responsible for all aspects of the BDC/Internet sales department. Our BDC/Internet Sales Managers maintain and develop a highly motivated and productive sales team, while ensuring best-in-class customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Train BDC representatives on how to answer internet leads and the importance of response time.
  • Leading a team of 10+ BDC representatives.
  • Achieving monthly sales/appointment goals.
  • Gathering necessary documents requested by the lender.
  • Must be able to understand CRM as well as other customer relations software.
  • Closing customers on payment and terms over the phone and via email.
  • Monitor all incoming internet traffic and prepare reports with data on a weekly basis.
  • Handle incoming internet leads for multiple stores.
  • Monitor different internet sources.
  • Be able to analyze internet leads and properly assess how to prepare the first response.
  • Monitor that proper follow-up is being made in the system.
  • Teach BDC representatives new and pre-owned internet workflows in the system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Performance

  • Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services on customer vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Utilize appropriate diagnostic equipment, tools, and software to accurately identify vehicle concerns and system malfunctions.
  • Follow all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) diagnostic procedures, including proper documentation, systematic diagnostic processes, and verification or duplication of customer concerns.
  • Complete thorough post-repair verification, including road testing where applicable, to ensure all repairs meet quality standards and resolve customer concerns.
  • Achieve and maintain target performance metrics including "Fixed Right First Time" standards and positive Net Promoter Score (NPS) contributions.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Development

  • Complete and maintain all required manufacturer training and certifications on schedule.
  • Prepare adequately for all scheduled training sessions, whether online, in-house, or off-site.
  • Stay current with emerging automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry developments.
  • Pursue and maintain relevant professional certifications to advance technical capabilities.

Workplace Standards

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with all safety regulations and dealership standards.
  • Use all tools, equipment, and dealership property responsibly and report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately.

Preferred / Required Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License - Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • New York State Safety Inspector License - Required or must be obtained within specified timeframe.
  • ASE Certifications - Automotive Service Excellence certifications required or strongly preferred based on position level.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and OEM service manuals.
  • Understanding of automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, braking, suspension, HVAC, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures and handling of hazardous materials.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis.
  • Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and working in various positions for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precision work.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.

This role is a critical entry point in the customer journey, responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications, setting appointments, and supporting sales volume and service through consistent, professional follow-up.

The ideal candidate is energetic, articulate, process-driven, and comfortable communicating via phone, email, text, and digital platforms while delivering premium customer experience consistent with the BMW brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all inbound phone calls, internet inquiries, and digital leads promptly and professionally.
  • Responding to internet leads through the CRM in accordance with dealership response-time standards.
  • Engage prospective customers via phone, email, and text to identify needs and schedule showroom and service appointments.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and represent the BMW brand with confidence and integrity.
  • Effectively set, confirm, and reschedule sales and service appointments to support showroom traffic, sales volume and service.
  • Conduct outbound follow-up calls to unsold leads, orphan customers, repairs and prior inquiries per BDC processes.
  • Ensure all customer interactions, notes, and outcomes are accurately documented in the CRM.
  • Verify lead source and lead type accuracy within the CRM for reporting and performance tracking.
  • Meet or exceed daily and monthly outbound call, appointment, and contact goals.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on all assigned leads to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team, Sales Managers, Service Managers and BDC leadership to ensure smooth handoff of appointments.
  • Communicate appointment details clearly to the sales and service teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in training, coaching, and process improvement initiatives to continuously improve performance.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service, call center, BDC, or dealership environment preferred.
  • Strong phone presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable handling high call volumes and digital communications.

DMV Biller

Our brand-new, state-of-the-art BMW dealership in Long Island City, NY, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Biller to join our growing team. This position is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all vehicle billing and DMV-related documentation.

The ideal candidate will have prior dealership experience, strong administrative and accounting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit DMV paperwork for multiple states, ensuring all documentation meets state-specific requirements.
  • Maintain, audit, and reconcile all titles, MSOs, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with floor plan audits and coordinate necessary documentation with lenders and internal accounting.
  • Stock in all new and used vehicles into the dealership management system and verify data accuracy.
  • Scan, file, and organize deal jackets and supporting paperwork for easy retrieval and compliance.
  • Maintain the title and MSO book, apply for duplicate titles when needed, and ensure all titles are properly recorded.
  • Oversee the inventory and issuance of plates and MV-50s in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage the Verify system to ensure all DMV and titling transactions are properly tracked and submitted.
  • Pull OEM invoices and post all new vehicle information to accounting systems accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous automotive billing or dealership accounting experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of DMV title and registration procedures, preferably across multiple states.
  • Familiarity with Verify, floor plan audits, and OEM invoicing a plus.
